We will have a chalk talk on the theory behind the chemical master equation, introduce the finite state projection algorithm to solve the CME.
In the second hands-on half of the lecture, we will play around with some Matlab codes and explore what the FSP can show us about the effects that non-linearities and stochasticity can have on gene regulatory circuit responses.
