First q-bio Summer School: Essential information

Back to The First q-bio School.
- Los Alamos is at the elevation of about 7500 ft (almost 2500 meters). Coupled to a very dry climate, this altitude may present problems for some visitors. Drink a lot of water and limit physical activities.
- We are in the high-desert environment, and temperatures range from 90F (30C) and more at midday to sometimes barely above freezing at night. Plan accordingly. While rain is a possibility in afternoons, the sun is often very cruel (remember our latitude and altitude). Again, plan accordingly.
