Albuquerque, New Mexico campus, July 13-28, 2015
The q-bio Summer School began in 2007 in Los Alamos, moved to Santa Fe, and then moved again to Albuquerque. Along the way, two new campuses were launched, first in San Diego and then in Fort Collins. In 2015, the program of the Albuquerque campus will emphasize four topical areas: biomolecular simulations, cell signaling, membrane biology and viral dynamics. A series of lectures and labs will be devoted to each of these areas; however, lectures will cover other, diverse topics. Students will attend two core lectures each morning and participate in computer labs in the afternoon. Hands-on imaging labs will also be offered. Afternoons will include volunteer student talks. All students will participate in small team projects under the mentorship of the school faculty. In the past, many of these projects have led to publications. Northern New Mexico is a very beautiful region in the southern Rockies and opportunities for fun weekend activities are abundant. In the past, students have enjoyed white water rafting, cliff jumping, and hiking. After participating in the school, students are strongly encouraged to attend the Ninth Annual q-bio Conference (August 5-8, 2015, Blacksburg, VA, USA).

Focus Areas
The school will cover a broad range of topics but the following focus areas will be emphasized:

The scientists responsible for organizing and leading student projects in these areas are Drs. Gnanakaran, Hlavacek, Steinkamp and Ribeiro, respectivley.
