(De)constructing cellular networks
From Q-bio
Adam Arkin (Physical Sciences Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory)
- Abstract
- (De)Constructing Cellular Networks. I will discuss our efforts in understanding signal processing in bacterial stress response networks and how we have exploited our knowledge of these systems to design synthetic biological bacterial systems that, for example, can specifically localize and destroy tumors. Many facets of biophysics, control signal processing, evolutionary dynamics and evolutionary game theory come in such designs.
